Elaina Reese, MSE

Project Coordinator

Elaina joined the team in April 2023 and is originally from Buffalo, New York.  She earned her Master of Science degree in Engineering from the University of Michigan and comes to us with a background in clinical research coordination and health policy.  Elaina oversees all of our team research projects. 

Jackie Duckett

Jackie is a PhD student in Developmental Science at Wayne State University. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Michigan State University in 2022. Jackie is a recipient of the Dean's Diversity Fellowship and is interested in the health and well-being of Black families.

​Sabrina Blank 

Sabrina is a doctoral student in clinical psychology at Wayne State University, with a minor in health psychology. Sabrina graduated from Hope College in 2022 with a bachelor's in psychology and a minor in neuroscience. Her research interests include clinical health psychology and the relationship between stress and physical health/physiology.

​Athena Chan, PhD

​Athena recently completed her PhD in Family and Social Sciences.  Her research interests include intergenerational relationships, family dynamics, and family resilience.  

​Alexis Sierra Burns

Alexis is a Research Assistant in the SHARE group.  She is a recent graduate of Penn State University and an aspiring clinical researcher. At Penn State, Alexis studied Biobehavioral Health & Psychology.

​Brittney M. Williams, LMSW-C  

Brittney is a social worker with the Washtenaw County Office of Public Defender.  She is interested in the carceral and reentry experiences of formerly incarcerated LGBT+ older adults.  Brittney earned her Master of Social Work degree at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. Brittney will begin her PhD program in Social Work at Wayne State University in August 2023. 

​Aristide Coumarbatch

Aristide is a medical student trainee with the NIH-funded Research to Reduce Disparities in Disease (R2D2) program.  He is currently working on a project to evaluate racial differences in how older adults use health-related technology.

​​Kayla Habermehl 

​Kayla is a Science Communications Specialist currently working toward a Master's Degree in Public Health.  Kayla earned bachelors degrees in Journalism and Anthropology at Michigan State University and formerly worked as a journalist for the Flint Journal/MLive. 

Tobias Brevik, MS

Tobias works with the team as a data analyst.  Tobias has a Masters degree in Economics from Florida State University.

Imani works with the team as a data analyst.  She is originally from Chicago and earned her Master of Public Health degree from Tulane University. 

​Erika Karoll, BS

Erika is a Master of Public Health Student working with the SHARE group. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology in 2021.  Erika is currently working on a project focused on health service utilization among formerly incarcerated older adults.
