Join the Alzheimer's Buddies Program!Dr. Sneed is pleased to be the faculty advisor for the Wayne State Alzheimers' Buddy Program! This student-led organization pairs Wayne State students with individuals with dementia for weekly social activities. The program is open both undergraduate and graduate students.
For more information, go to https://getinvolved.wayne.edu/organization/alzbuddies Dr. Sneed joins new Center for Health EquityDr. Sneed is thrilled to join the new Center for Health Equity and Community Knowledge in Urban Populations (CHECK-UP) as Co-Director of the Capacity Building and Communication Core. The center is one of three initiatives funded by the CVS Health Foundation to create a multi-sector community coalition to assure integration of community voice and alignment of community assets and resources to decrease heart health and mental health disparities in Detroit. The collaboration will also train faculty, staff and community members on best practices in community-engaged research and expand opportunities for skill-building for the community health workforce. More information on CHECK-UP Dr. Sneed to discuss history of racism in clinical trialsDr. Sneed is happy to partner with the Lupus Foundation of America to discuss the history of racism in clinical trials. This presentation will be given in conjunction with a program called Improving Minority Participation and Awareness in Clinical Trials (IMPACT+).
